QLD:Men charged over shooting club robbery

Four people have been charged over the theft of handguns from a Brisbane shooting club
.. but police don't believe the guns are linked to weekend shootings on the Gold Coast.

Police allege two men .. one armed with a rifle .. stole 24 handguns .. ammunition
and cash from the Sporting Shooters Association's Belmont club a week ago.

The men were charged after police netted 14 of the handguns and ammunition during a
search of a Cornubia property.

Another two men have also been charged with weapons and drug offences.

Anyone with information about the remaining handguns is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
