S.Y. Bancorp Inc. of Louisville has hired William M. Dishman 3rd as its chief risk officer.

Mr. Dishman was the executive vice president and chief credit officer for the Kentucky and Tennessee markets at National City Bank, which PNC Financial Services Group Inc. bought in December.

S.Y. Bancorp has $1.6 billion of assets.

NEW ENGLAND

Newtown Savings Bank in Connecticut has promoted John F. Trentacosta to chief executive officer.
