VIC: Bone disease sufferer bashed and robbed

MELBOURNE, April 18 AAP - A 25-year-old man who has Osteogenesis Imperfecta, a "brittle
bone disease" was bashed and robbed at St Albans in Melbourne's west on Friday.

The St Albans man was walking with the aid of a crutch in Glendenning Street about 3pm when
two men stopped him and demanded money.

He was grabbed by the shoulders by a third man before one of the three punched him in the
mouth while the other two searched his pockets, police said.

The three attackers, who police said were of Asian appearance, made off with a quantity of
cash.

The victim suffered swelling to the mouth resulting from the punch.

The violent robbers were last seen running north along Glendenning Street towards the St
Albans railway station.

The three have been described as 175 cm tall with short black hair, 175 cm tall and wearing
a red and white tracksuit and 185 cm tall, with an earing in the left ear and wearing track
pants and a navy blue windcheater.

Police investigating the crime are anxious to speak to a woman and child walking in the
street at the time of the robbery.
