WASHINGTON - Rod Strickland doesn't know when he'll play again.The way Chris Whitney is playing, maybe it's better that way. Strickland returned to the Washington Wizards on Sunday after anunexcused absence that lasted nearly four days. The veteran pointguard then said his hamstrings were bothering him, so he sat behindthe bench in street clothes and watched Whitney and Juwan Howardlead the Wizards to a 110-96 win over the Detroit Pistons.
Howard scored a season-high 35 points. Whitney, starting histhird straight game, had 13 points, five assists and led thedecisive 12-0 run in the third quarter as the Wizards broke a six-game losing streak.
